(Calendula officianalis) Native to Egypt, Calendula or Pot Marigold is the ‘marigold’ of medieval times (modern marigolds are native to N. America). Used as an edible (flowers and leaves), for wine making, and as a healing herb, Pot Marigold has been a staple since medieval times. Brought to the US by very early settlers. Blooms are 3-4 inches in orange / yellow and feed butterflies. Most/full sun. 1-2 feet. Plant seeds in warm conditions. Annual. 25+ seeds
